Welcome to Welfare Transition Program, Florida's temporary cash assistance program. There are many services available to assist you in finding and retaining employment so that your family can live free of poverty. Many of these services are also available after you go to work such as child care, transportation assistance, education and training.

Do you have past due bills? Would you like up to $1,000 to help you pay those bills? If you have applied for cash assistance, have a solid work history and are able to go to work now, you may qualify for $1,000 in “up-front diversion.” Up-front diversion can provide you with up to $1,000 without having to complete weekly activities as a cash assistance recipient. You may also be eligible for services such as childcare, transportation and training. It is important to note that getting Up-Front Diversion will not affect your food stamps and/or Medicaid.
